So we just celebrated our 3 year wedding anniversary! It hardly seems like 3 years could have come and gone already! I defiantly think this past year has been the best so far! I think the first two you are just getting use to living with someone, having to share a bed, having to actually plan meals, etc. Anyways we spent the weekend up in the Iron Range! We had an overall good time up there. The place we stayed was fairly nice and reasonable. It was the Lodge at Giants Ridge. On Saturday we got to go see the Sudan Underground mine. That was an awesome tour and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for some northern Minnesota adventures! They actually take you underground and you get to ride on a little cart through it. We also got a little bit of a snowmobile itch seeing all the trails everywhere. I personally haven’t been on one but think its gotta be better then skiing down hill uncontrollably. Tried that almost 2 years ago and don’t think I’ll go down that route again!
Another Year Down
25 10 2007As I look back on the last year itself a lot has changed for us both physically emotionally. I finished up doing weight watchers and am so thankful I got the opportunity to do that program! I lost about 60lbs and couldn’t be happier about that! We got a puppy as well! She is so much fun and is finally through the puppy phase and is really just a sweet, loving dog. We lost Nils’s grandma on October 13th. We were away for our anniversary when we got the news. It has been a really hard few weeks but I am thankful that I got the opportunity to know here in the few years I have been in the family and really felt like she was one of mine! She was an amazing lady and will be greatly missed by us down here but I at least know she is up in Heaven now watching down on her family in the best seats in the world! It really taught me a good lesson that I have no control of what happens nor does my plan always work out but God is in control and will give us our hearts desires in his time. I think this is a lesson I will continue to test and learn over and over. I always thought I was so thankful all our grandparents are still alive and wanted to have at least our first kid before any of them passes. It makes me realize life is too short and to just enjoy each day as it comes! Another big event this year is my mom and grandparents moving to Minnesota! It has been so awesome and next week I drive up my grandparents to move them here! It could not be better timing at this point in my life and I am thrilled that we no longer have to go months without seeing each other!
Well that’s about all I can think of for now! Here’s to many more years ahead!
April
